something heartwarming that happened today

earlier i drove to McDo's on 108th & Q to grab a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese while listening to Stevie Wonder's rendition of "Blowin' in the Wind". as i pulled up to the first window to pay, the cashier leaned out and said, "Turn that UP!"

one thing worth mentioning here, the cashier looked almost exactly like Top Chef's Carla - pure big-eyed crazy looking.

so i gave her my cash, and she asked me to name the artist performing the song, and i told her, and she looked at me with a big crazy smile while handing me my change and said, "Now that is some GOOD music!"

since there were two cars in front of me awaiting their food and she was jamming to the song, she said, "You should just sit right here until your food's ready." so i sat there, and we jammed out together for about 45 seconds before i could drive up to the second window. as i pulled away, she leaned out the window and said, "God BLESS you. You have a NICE day young man!"

and i drove out of the parking lot back onto Q St, with a big smile on my face and a bag full of greasy goodness.
